1. Using background scenery to guide the framing decision. This shot is also known as an EXTREME LONG SHOT (XLS)

2. Poor grouping of objects in shot. There is a lack of "focus" for the viewer to latch onto. What would have made this shot more effective would have been to pull back and include more of the person on the left and both children framed on the right side of the shot. Basically, the camera is too close to the subjects.
