A character's spine, using Stanislavski's terminology, is the character's major goal or objective throughout the entire scenario, the internal force which drives the character's choices. For example, Shakespeare's Hamlet's spine may be to cleanse the court of Denmark.

1. In one or two sentences, describe the spine of the each of the major characters in the film listed above. List five verbal or non-verbal gestures, words, actions, etc, used by the actor in the film to support the spine you've imagined for them .
